Loved the sushi here. Everything tasted clean and fresh. The spicy tuna roll had a good balance of heat and flavor. I also tried the eel nigiri, and it was rich and savory. The whole experience felt authentic and well done.

Yoki Japanese Restaurant in Medford is a lovely spot for Japanese food! I'm not sure if "authentic" is the most accurate word to describe Yoki just because they had a bunch of typical Chinese takeout dishes on their menu and pad thai? BUT nevertheless, still had a great experience dining here for dinner Saturday night. I'd say, stick to the sushi and raw dishes. The cooked dishes weren't bad or anything, however, for me, the sushi is what I would come back for. What we ordered: -takoyaki -hotate hokkaiyaki -egg rolls -curry mussels -fried shumai -dozen oysters -fried chicken wings -paradise maki -spicy tuna maki -bruins maki -Celtics maki -beef tataki -beef & broccoli -yaki soba -orange chicken -tempura ice cream -spicy orange chicken (not pictured) -pina colada and other drinks (not pictured) My favorite dishes that we tried, include: paradise maki, hotate hokkaiyaki, & beef tataki. All the apps we ordered were good but none of them really stood out to me. I wanted to love the curry mussels more honestly... great flavor just didn't come out as hot as I expected; was cold when I tried it. We shared most of these dishes family style, though I didn't get to try some of what we ordered. The beef tataki was great! I loved the spicy radish it came with. It was already great on its own with the lime but adding the spicy radish was a game changer! Would for sure get this again. The hotate hokkaiyaki is typically what I like to order whenever I go to a sushi spot. Why I liked this dish from Yoki: it actually had a kick to it. And no, I don't mean sriracha "spice". A lot of the apps did unexpectedly have a kick to it. Not insanely spicy or anything, of course. The paradise maki was my favorite maki. It tasted heavenly and I probably could've done 2 of those and be happy! This is a roll I could order every time and not get tired of it. Parking: they have a parking lot situated behind the restaurant + street parking spots.

I used to come here back in the day and hang out quite often when they first opened and haven't been back to the Northshore often in recent years. Tonight was a catchup get together with the fam! We were not disappointed. We ordered a bunch of drinks, I don't drink much anymore but did get a virgin pina colada and enjoyed that a lot! We tried a bunch of dishes family style really. + chicken wings - nice and crispy, juicy inside and flavors were soy garlic and spicy (not spicy at all for those wondering) + hotate hokkaiyaki scallop appetizer was great has a nice kick to it! + the paradise roll was our favorite of the sushi dishes we ordered! + the orange chicken i asked if they could make it spicy, it was good flavor but not spicy at all. I prefer Gen Gaus more the. Orange chicken hence the request + the beef tataki app was nice with the onion and scallion with spicy raddish! A lot of the dishes were typical chinese american style, and the japanese food i wouldn't say was authentic cuisine but a good spot with drinks. Experience was always good here and that hasn't changed. Service was good our server Andy was good just maybe be a bit more vocal, the noise level in there gets pretty loud during the dinner rush so it's hard to hear. Would be back!

A great little Japanese spot at the station. Super cool vibe inside and everyone is very kind and professional. They have a large bar as well as a sushi bar, and regular tables and booths. We started with some sake and beer. For appetizers we had pan fried gyoza, spicy edamame, and hotate. We ordered three rolls, which are gigantic. (Red Sox roll, Celtics roll, and a ninja roll that we added tuna to.) We could've easily done with only two rolls. Everything we had was really tasty and very fresh, except for the hotate, which was just fine. I would not order it again. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. I would definitely recommend a stop to this wonderful Japanese spot.

It's closer to a 3 but I feel I would need to try more menu items to give a proper review. The portion size was good and I remember the service being inviting

I think this is one of my favorite sushi spots right now! They have a great atmosphere, incredible service and mouth-watering food!! I tried a huge variety of their dishes and LOVED every bite! My favorites were definitely the sushi dishes, but everything was so good! We tried their temaki omakase which had a great variety of super fresh and delicious fish served as a build your own temaki experience paired with flavored salts to try with each bite and this was absolutely my favorite dish and definitely worth the price! I also LOVED the tuna sampler which has 5 nigiri pieces of tuna at different levels of fattiness that were just melt in your mouth delicious! We also got the Hotate - Hokkaiyaki which was a surprising favorite because I am usually more of a fan of the raw fish sushi, but this seafood bake was so decadent and delicious! We also got some classics like gyoza, naruto and mussels that never disappoint. We got the specialty paradise and hawaii maki that were totally loaded up and honestly we probably ordered too much food but there were just so many good things to try! The dessert was also stunning and delicious! Can't recommend this place enough, I am literally telling everyone about it and I cannot wait to go back!

Loved the Red Sox Maki and Hamachi sushi! Place is nice and spacious. The staff was pleasant. Came in a group, and was surprised of how good the sushi was and the price was reasonable. I will come here again.
